Abstract

Abstract The Tonpilz configuration of transducers is recognized for its capability to generate high-power acoustic emissions at relatively lower frequencies, which is a prevalent setup in sonar systems. Comprising a frontal radiating element, a rear casing, and a piezoelectric ceramic ring sandwiched between them and affixed by a central bolt, this study delineates the inclusion of bolt pretension impact. The investigation assesses the structural and acoustic ramifications of the transducer’s frequency response. These findings indicate the commendable acoustic performance of the transducer.
