Abstract

In magnetic nanoconstriction systems, the magnetic calculations on the domain wall width (DWW) were carried out using the micromagnetics simulation based on Landau-Lifschitz-Gilbert equation. The results for the normal constriction type and the newly designed round constriction type were compared. DWW changes in various nanoconstriction sizes and shapes were studied while domain walls were constricted at the nanoconstriction. Calculations showed that the domain wall (DW) configurations in the normal constriction type were unstable depending on the initial state, whereas the domain wall configurations were stable in the round constriction type independent of the initial state. The stable DW configuration in the round constriction type seems to be due to the same spatial gradient across the structure
