Abstract

A method of concentration of small a few nanometers magnetic nanoparticles (with biological marker) is presented. A method used a magnet system with strong gradient fields and large magnetic nanoparticles (several tens of nanometer) to concentrate small magnetic nanoparticles. Large magnetic nanoparticles absorb small particles due to strong magnetic field gradient enhancement at their vicinity and are then used as a vehicle to transport them. A mathematical model of large and small magnetic nanoparticles is developed. Mathematical simulation has shown that large magnetic nanoparticles can absorbs small magnetic nanoparticles when their distance from their trajectory is not far than 10 radii of large particles.
