Abstract

The São Francisco Valley region, in Brazil, has stood out as one of the largest fruit producers in Brazil, mainly in the production and marketing of table grapes for the national and international market. This research aims to analyze the distribution network of table grapes produced in the São Francisco Valley region and identify possible locations for installation of Distribution Centers (DCs) through simulation, using the AnyLogistix software, in one year. The study was applied in Uvas do Vale company, which is at the beginning of its operations and has no history of demand. With the help of the computational tool, the company's demand for the 100 largest Brazilian cities was estimated. Three possible scenarios were created for the distribution network through GreenField Analysis (GFA), establishing customers, DCs linked to them and their demands. The application of AnyLogistix contributes to the organization's strategic planning, and the C3 scenario is the most aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
