Abstract
The spectral representation method (SRM) is extensively used for the simulation of stationary wind field due to its well-developed theory and expediency. In this method, the decomposition of cross power spectral density (XPSD) matrix is generally time-consuming. To improve its efficiency, the interpolation-enhanced scheme (IES) has been developed. Nonetheless, the determination of interpolation points is burdensome and also lacks enough adaptivity. In this study, an adaptive IES (AIES) is proposed to facilitate the selection of interpolation points, by which an AIES-based simulation method for stationary wind field is proposed. Numerical examples are employed to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method. Results show that this method not only has satisfactory accuracy, but also can improve the simulation efficiency of the IES-based simulation method. This efficiency advantage may be negligible in the case of simulating the sample with full period. However, it tends to be obvious when it comes to simulating the sample with partial period. With increasing number of simulation points, this advantage will be more and more significant.
