Abstract
The article reviews studies on simulation of instabilities in space plasma allowing for the Hall effect. A brief description of the Hall MHD model is presented and the Hall term in the generalized Ohm’s law is analyzed. Publications on Hall MHD simulation, and partially on hybrid simulation, of Kelvin-Helmholtz and Rayleigh-Taylor instabilities in space plasma are reviewed. The focus is on the manifestation of Hall current effects.
