Abstract
In this paper authors research the problem of modeling side-scan sonar signal in a fluctuating ocean. Based on the non-stationary radiation transfer equation, the kinetic model is used. It describes of signal propagation in the medium. In the assumption of single scattering in the ocean formulas for useful and noise signals are deduced. They takes into account of slight variations in topography of seabottom.
