Abstract

Molecular dynamics simulation is performed to study coupled magnetic, structural, and mechanical response of magnetosensitive vesicles to quasistatic on/off switching of external magnetic field. The vesicle membrane filled with magnetic nanoparticles is modeled in the coarse-grained bead-spring representation. In detail it is shown, how discocyte- and stomatocyte-like vesicles respond to uniform magnetic field. Notably, having undergone an on/off switching cycle, a vesicle does not always restore in full its shape.
