Abstract

A model based on the transfer matrix method (TMM), for the analysis of photon density distribution in Three Section Distributed Bragg Reflector (DBR) Tunable Laser Diode, is presented. This model provides longitudinal distribution of photon density in each section of laser for different values of grating and phase current. It is shown that both grating and phase current caused to a downward shift of photon density distribution profile. Simulation shows that, photon density distribution has a peak at the active-passive interface.
