Abstract

A new branch of dynamic theory of earthquake engineering was developed during last decades where analysis and calculation of dynamic behaviour of structures is simulated with synthetic and real registrated accelerograms. The purpose of structural response simulation is to analyze behavior of structures during vibrations caused by earthquakes. Their direct measurement are not always possible, especially when under investigation is behavior of structures at strong motion seismic excitations. The structural control devices and systems for seismic protection are very expensive and individual for each structure. That’s why they are tested not only with computer simulation but as well experimentally via simulation prototype models under simulated seismic excitations, maximal close to the real ones.
