Abstract

A comprehensive method for simulation of bivariate extremes is developed. A list of explicit algebraic expressions is given for ready implementation of the methodology. The performance of the methodology is assessed in terms of both its efficiency and the fidelity of the generated numbers to the model that they are assumed to come from. Finally a generalisation of the methodology to multivariate extremes is outlined.
