Abstract

Production machines in factory are rarely considered in traditional power system simulation. To analyze the influence of different production machines to factory power system simulation, in this paper, the common production machines' characteristics, practical torque formula and simulation method in petroleum and petrochemical factories are introduced. It is analyzed theoretically that different production machines' speed-torque characteristics affect load flow, short circuit characteristics, start and stop characteristics. The DIgSILENT software is used to simulate. The simulation result verified the influence of different production machines' speed-torque characteristic to load flow, short circuit characteristics, start and stop characteristics. When petroleum factories analyze load flow, the practical speed-torque models of pumping units under motor stable operation must be set up. When petrochemical factories analyze load flow and short circuit characteristics, most production machines' speed-torque characteristics can be ignored. When analyze motors' start and stop, the exact speed-torque characteristic model must be set up for pumping units, fans, pumps, compressors, and other production machines.
