Abstract
Forced convective heat transfer through an annular sector duct has been investigated under the magnetic field effects. Governing mathematical model is discretized with the help of the finite volume method, and resulting algebraic equations are numerically solved by the successive overrelaxation method. Effects of pertinent parameters such as Hartman number (), ratio of radii (), and half apex angle of sector duct () on the velocity and temperature profile have been discussed through graphs and tables. It has been observed that velocity decreases while temperature increases with the increase in Hartman number (). Limiting case results are in good comparison with the literature.
