Abstract

AbstractThe Discrete Element Method (DEM) and the method of setting periodic boundary are used to simulate the conveying process of horizontal double head screw conveyer, carrying out the dynamics simulation to do a research on the conveying capacity of horizontal double head screw conveyor at different fill level and rotation speed of the screw. The kinestate of the particles in screw conveyor is obtained through simulation analysis, and the result of simulation analysis is obtained: when conveying granular materials bulk, the horizontal double head screw conveyor is supposed to set the appropriate fill level and the appropriate rotation speed of the screw on the basis of the characteristics of the granular material, to make the horizontal double head screw conveyor have a higher conveying capacity and lower energy consumption.KeywordsHorizontal double head screw conveyerFill levelRotation speedDEM
