Abstract

Results of numerical simulation of the convective heat exchange between two concentric isothermal spheres with the use of different simulation criteria are presented. The influence of these criteria on the results of calculations of the structure of the liquid flow and the heat transfer in the space between the indicated spheres was investigated. Equations for simulation of the heat exchange between these spheres in the case where the gravitational acceleration in the layer formed by them is directed to its center were constructed. These equations were compared with equations for simulation of the heat transfer in an analogous spherical layer in which the gravitational acceleration is directed vertically down.
