Abstract

Abstract Simulation data of Japanese ERS-1/OPS were genarated from GER Airborne Spectrometers having high spectral resolution, acquired in Western U.S. Data analysis was focussed on SWIR ability to identify lithology based on its spectral property in SWIR. The results show the capability of J-ERS-1/OPS for lithologic identification, especially for carbonate rocks, which was hardly identified in case of Landsat/TM.
