Abstract

The aim of the work is an investigation of the behavior of austenitic steel (P 900) during cold pressing and to find relations between cold deformation parameters and structure. Experimental work consisted of mechanical tests in tensile and pressure, simulation of upsetting was accomplished by help of Forge 2D program. Different courses of strengthening curves in tensile and pressure were found; it means, that strengthening mechanisms at different kinds of loading will work differently. Extremely low modulus of elasticity at pressure tests was also found. Transmission electron analysis of microstructure of deformed specimens was made too. Submicrostructure of individual grains including phase composition was defined in details.
