Abstract

Numerical methods for calculating radar scattering from complex shape objects (with surface breaks), placed in free space, above and under the ground interface are presented. For aerial and ground perfectly electrically conducting (PEC) objects, wholly or partly covered with radio absorbing materials have been developed asymptotical (for electrically large sizes of objects) method. Numerical method, based on surface integral equations for scattering by subsurface PEC and dielectric objects of Rayleigh or resonance sizes, is proposed. The scattering by reflector antenna and antenna system with ogive nose radome are considered also. Radar cross section (RCS) results for cruise missile, aircrafts, tanks are demonstrated. As well the results of subsurface mine-like objects scattering at monochromatic and pulse incidence are shown.
