Abstract

A surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based photonic crystal fiber (PCF) temperature sensor has demonstrated. The effects of metal film thickness and temperature on the sensor at different wavelength are simulated by using finite element method. Sensor resolution above 200pm/° is demonstrated for a fluoropolymer sensing layer.
