Abstract
Comparative experimental and model investigations of the performance of a CuBr laser without and with HBr at high pump pulse repetition frequencies have been carried out. Analysis performed based on a numerical simulation has revealed the mechanism of improvement of the lasing characteristics of the laser operated with an active additive (HBr) both at conventional (10–20 kHz) and at increased pulse repetition frequencies (up to 100 kHz).
