Abstract

Development of large software products is still an error-prone process. As it is not possible to get this process error-free, it is necessary to find ways to make software proof and reliable. Possible ways are analytical methods or tests. Because of the complexity of master control system (MCS) software it is impossible to do a fully analytical examination. Therefore this software has to be tested, preferably by means of a tool called simulation-based testing environment. Using the simulation-based testing environment saves cost and time during the initiation of the MCS software. Nevertheless, it is necessary to develop a method for a structured test to detect as many errors as possible.
