Abstract

This article examines the use and misuse of simulation methodology in the study of psychological processes in forensic and legal settings. It is argued that simulation is often an inappropriate method of inquiry and that when the method is employed it is often used in a lax way. Four specific weaknesses in the use of simulation methodology are identified.
