Introduction

Inverters are circuits that transfer power from a DC source to an AC load. Inverters are used in applications such as adjustable-speed ac motor drives, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), active filters, flexible ac transmission systems (FACTS), running ac appliances from an automobile battery. Inverters can be classified into many types based on output, source, type of load. Complete classification of inverter circuits is as follows:.
