Abstract

The technique of axial vibration control (AVC) in the vertical Bridgman configuration assisted by the control of vapor by the Van Doorn technique was applied to CdTe crystal growth. The setup was designed and crystals were grown at various partial pressures of Te and Cd. For the designed setup the numerical simulation using FLUENT software was carried out. The influence of baffle configuration on melt flow patterns and flow velocities was analyzed.
