Abstract

The multipath propagation characteristics of ultrawideband (UWB) signal for indoor complex environments is described based on the time domain uniform theory of diffraction (TD-UTD) in this paper. An indoor complex environment with long corridor is established to simulate and analyze the UWB propagation characteristics in indoor environments. In simulation, direct signals, reflection, diffraction and transmission are all considered to analyze UWB signal propagation characteristics through some multipath parameters, such as power delay profile (PDP), electric intensity, root mean square (RMS) delay spread and other parameters. This study can provide the theoretical basis for 5G wireless mobile communication and optimization of UWB signal in indoor complex environments.
