Abstract

Extreme high voltage (UHV) shunt reactor is one of the main noise sources of UHV substation. In order to control the noise of the UHV shunt reactor from the source, it is of great significance to study the electromagnetic force of the winding of the UHV shunt reactor. In this paper, considering the nonlinear magnetic permeability of the core, a three-dimensional transient magnetic finite element analysis model of the UHV shunt reactor scale model is established. The distribution of the current, magnetic field and the variation of electromagnetic force in winding are revealed under the rated voltage condition. This work provides support for the analysis of winding's generating noise of the UHV shunt reactor.
