Abstract

Single-phase arc grounding fault appears in non-solidly earthed network quite frequently. However, most studies are based on the high-current arc models, which are not applicable to non-solidly earthed networks. This paper introduces an improved cybernetic arc model and applies it to the non-solidly earthed network. A simulation model of 10kV distribution network is built via MATLAB. Comparing the simulation results with the experimental results, it indicates that arc characteristics can be reflected effectively by the arc model. Eventually, the influence of different model parameters on arc characteristics is emphatically analyzed.
