Abstract
One of the most important parameters when laying and maintaining of continuous welded rail track is the stress-free temperature of continuously welded rails at constant duty of operation, however the regulatory documents do not take into account the thermal stress occurring in continuously welded rails due to deformations on the solid subgrade. The expansion of continuously welded rails laying territory in the sections with complicated engineering and geological conditions requires to study this issue and to develop recommendations for further operation of the continuous welded rail track in the zone of permafrost sedimentary soils. The paper presents the results of simulating of thermoelastic processes due to uneven heating of special elements of the continuous welded rail track structure.
