Abstract

BOSTON — Of the 3.6 million students who entered college or university during the fall of 2008, over 37 percent transferred at least once during the next six years. That statistic came from a presentation at the annual National Association for College Admission Counseling national conference, during a presentation by Patricia A. Shea, director of academic leadership initiatives at the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education; Judy Hay, vice president of student services at Laramie County Community College; and Jody Owen, academic advisor coordinator at South Dakota State University.
