Abstract

Under the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, wind power and solar power have become important options for decarbonization of the power system. The accelerated growth of capacity of wind and solar power will bring about huge demand for flexible adjustment ability of the power system. This paper built an simplified analysis model to study the demand and difference of the flexible capability requirement of power system for large scale wind power and solar photovoltaic grid integration, and gave two requirement curves of flexibility with different ratios of wind power and solar power against power load respectively. Research results showed that the increase in the proportion of solar photovoltaic capacity requires more flexible adjustment capabilities of the system than that of wind power.
