SUMMARY Antenna radar (G % attems are a major factor in ground penetratin R) surveydesien and data intemretation. A brie s overview of’the nature zf typical GPR antenna attems is presented. A simplified beam model is desert ed which .! encompasses many of the features of the true pattern but is simple enou Bh to provide for practical survey planning. Gmdelines or survey design based on this model are presented and field results are used to illustrate the concepts.
