Abstract

Introduction: Method of cerebral protection during repairing the aortic arch is still controversial. Right axillary artery cannulation can add up to one hour to the procedure and risk damages to brachial plexus and hyperperfusion syndrome to right arm. We reviewed our recent experience of antegrade unilateral cerebral perfusion through the brachiocephalic artery with moderate hypothermic circulatory arrest using the retrograde cardioplegic cannula.
