Abstract

Compact dual-band, tri-band and qua-band microstrip bandpass filters (BPFs) using single open-stub loaded rectangular loop resonator and transversal signal-interference technique are presented. The even-/odd-mode number and mode distributions of filtering-circuit are determined by the characteristic impedances and fil-tering-layout size. The dual-band, tri-band and qua-band can be built correspondingly with different optimized parameter sets. Transmission zeros (TZs) are introduced to improve passband-selectivity. To verify the presented strategies, dual-band, tri-band and qua-band BPFs are designed and fabricated respectively, and good measured results are obtained.
