Abstract

The advancement of diagnostic and interventional sialoendoscopy, a procedure associated with little morbidity, has been ongoing for more than a decade.1-4 As the first step in sialoendoscopy, the orifice of the salivary duct is progressively dilated using salivary or lacrimal probes of different diameters before the sialoendoscope is inserted into the salivary duct. However, the procedure can be challenging as surgeons may lose the duct orifice, and it may be difficult to re-identify after each probe change.
