Abstract

Hadronization effects, simulated by the reggeon exchange in the Bethe-Salpeter ladder building singlet structure functions, are argued to dump the anomalous increase of these functions at smallx predicted in the leading logarithmic approximation of quantum chromodynamics. On-shell unitarity in deep inelastic processes is thus explicitly restored.
