Abstract

Digital fringe projection using a digital projector and digital camera is commonly used technique for 3D measurements. For processing leading to extraction of the shape information the phase-modulated wave is essential. However projection conditions and variation of surfaces of scanned object cause distortions which affects phase extraction. It is necessary to eliminate this impact and normalize fringe pattern. Therefore this paper presents an algorithm for local low frequency component cancellation and fringe amplitude normalization. Proposed algorithm does not require any additional images. Thanks to this fact it may be applied in real-time processing
