Abstract
An experimental method is developed for evaluating the kinetic constants of gas-solid reactions in which small batches of solids are added to a fluidized bed of inert solids while the reactant gas concentration leaving the reactor is monitored. This method requires but little equipment, is easily and quickly run, uses only small amounts of solids, and gives the rate constants directly.
