Abstract

This paper sets out an analytic solution for linear rational expectations models subject to the constraint that some policy instruments can be adjusted more frequently than others. The results can be used for studying an economy in which, for example, monetary policy can be adjusted frequently, but fiscal policy can be adjusted only annually.
