Abstract
Simple and inexpensive devices for the determination of radiographic dose have been produced. Operation of the dose calculators is based on the principle of a circular slide rule. They provide quick and easy determination of average glandular dose in mammography and entrance skin exposure (ESE) or skin dose in general radiography. Technologist acceptance has been good, and the devices have satisfied the requirements of government and standard organizations that radiation doses be monitored.
