Abstract

A simple dc procedure, based upon the retarding potential method, for making continuous measurements of work function changes is reported. It has the advantage of easy combination with leed and other surface techniques and has been useful in revealing structure in the Δφ vs exposure curve for hydrogen adsorption on tungsten(001). (AIP)
