Abstract
PMB ethers of alcohols are obtained in good yields and under mild conditions using the 4-methoxybenzyl N-allyl thiocarbamate and N-bromosuccinimide (NBS)/TfOH as the catalyst. The present method is very fast, simple, and efficient.
