Abstract

The fluorescent carbon nanoparticles (average diameter: 10~50 nm) are prepared by using a simple and eco-friendly hydrothermal process, and show a stronge blue emission. The fluorescence of the water soluble carbon nanoparticles could be quenched effectively by H2O2without obvious shift in maximum photoluminescence emission wavelength, which can be used for the detection of H2O2.
