Abstract

The influence of the current–voltage relation on the macroscopic electrodynamics of low- and high-temperature superconductors is discussed. The proposed analysis is based on the macroscopic description of the flux-creep states by power and exponential equations. The non-isothermal diffusion of the screening current was studied both during ramp rate and relaxation stages. It is shown that equivalency in the description of the flux-creep states depends on the type of current–voltage relation (CVR) and the temperature variation of critical-current term in CVR.
