Abstract

SYNOPSISMethods are described for staining cells of the nervous system using sodium and potassium iodate instead of the carbonate salts as used in the classical Hortega techniques. The methods are quick and easy, the rate of success high, and tissues which have been fixed for a long time in formol can be used.
