Abstract

Two novel crystalline silver(I) coordination polymers have been synthesized and structurally characterized, using naphthyridine-based ligands that are typically expected to produce dinuclear metal complexes. Electrical conductivity studies on polycrystalline samples show that structural differences in the polymers lead to different conductivity values. These results highlight the flexible coordination chemistry of d10 silver(I) centers, as well as the challenges of ligand design when targeting well-defined multinuclear silver complexes.
