Abstract
Dental caries is one of the most common oral diseases. It is always better to prevent the disease before it advanceswhich may results to pain, unesthetic look and difficulty in mastication and function. Silver diamine fluorideis one of the preventive measures performed by the dentist to prevent and arrest initial dental caries. It is veryeffective in all age groups especially in paediatric patients. The knowledge, the exact mechanism and its methodof use is a primary requirement of the dental professional. The present article emphasizes a detailed review onsilver diamine fluoride.
