Abstract

We give spatial patterns of distribution of the principal groups of lithologic associations (sedimentary and volcanogenicl and a quantitative estimate of their volumes and distribution for each of the three series of the Cambrian system on the present continents. In conclusion, we make some suggestions as to changes in tectonic regime, features of sedimentation, and paleogeographic conditions during the Cambrian period.—Authors.
