Abstract

A multifunctional electronic skin tattoo system is developed by drawing carbon nanotube patterns on electrospun silk nanofiber mats, as described by Sunghwan Kim and co-workers in article number 2008308. The tattoo system offers ultrathin, ultralight, biocompatible, deformable, and skin adhesion. Heat-stimulated drug delivery with controlled temperature and electrophysiological signal monitoring are possible using this electronic tattoo system in a noninvasive manner.
