Abstract

Numerous silicified specimens of the Gedinnian index trilobiteWarburgella rugulosa (Alth, 1874), have been recovered from a series of samples between 500 feet and 800 feet below the top of the Delorme Formation near its type section. All specimens studied (about 350 each of cranidia, pygidia, and free cheeks) belong to the subspeciesWarburgella rugulosa canadensisOrmiston, 1967 previously known from Gedinnian beds on Baillie Hamilton Island, Canadian Arctic Islands.
