Abstract
Quartz and microcline replacing minerals in pre‐Cambrian and Cambrian formations in the Reading Hills indicate a magmatic source for solutions that have introduced large volumes of material. This introduction was likely in post‐Hardyston time. The widespread occurrence of quartz showing cross‐cutting and replacement relationships to the other minerals of pre‐Cambrian formations of the Reading Hills, in eastern Pennsylvania, invites a study of the source of the silica involved.
